Apple iPhone 6S – Three Changes in Design You Can Expect

Apple is a company that strives for perfection and constant innovation.

The iPhone is a device that benefits from the strategy, and the new iPhone 6S should come with several changes and improvements. While the main focus of the new iPhone should be in its hardware section, there will still be few minor, but important changes of the design as well. According to reports, there will be three changes that will be evident in the new design of the iPhone 6S.

Bigger Phone

The iPhone 6S should come with a new feature, Force Touch that will directly impact the design of the phone. Force Touch is a feature that will allow users to use different sensitivity press and tap on the screen for different functions. In other words, a light press and hard press will display completely different menus. One way Apple has managed to execute this feature in the iPhone 6S is by placing a double screen glass. That move impacts the dimensions of the phone, and sources report the 6S will wider by 0.15mm and have a bigger thickness by 0.2mm.

More Colors
We are used to seeing the iPhone in black, white and lately gold color. But due to the popularity of the Apple Watch, the Cupertino based company intends to add more colors to the palette in order to match the iPhone 6S with the watch. Rumors suggest yellow and grey colors are possible for the iPhone 6S. Another possible color is the “rose gold”, a color that is widely associated with the Apple Watch.

New Build Material
Apple was one of the first companies to add metal to the design and build of the phone. The iPhone has featured aluminum for quite some time. And while Apple will change the material, it will be just a subtle tweak that most users probably won’t notice it. There are rumors that Apple will make a completely new material that could transmit radio waves and cover the plastic that is now used in just few spots on the iPhone 6. But it is optimistic to believe that Apple will manage to produce the material in time for the iPhone 6S. The material is possible for some other version of the iPhone. For the time being, Apple will simply upgrade the aluminum it uses to a different series, aluminum 7000, the same material used for the design of the Apple Watch.
