Mini Clubman revised

Following on from the 3-door Hatch and the 5-door Hatch, Mini says the new model offers customers a premium vehicle featuring the highest level of ride refinement ever seen in one of the products. The car’s signature design feature — the split rear doors — are retained, while accessibility and everyday usability are further enhanced thanks to four full-sized side doors.
Mini is promising a more mature and sophisticated design, but says the new Clubman’s dimensions are larger than those of the previous generation car. It’s 270mm longer and 73mm wider than the 5-door Hatch, with a wheelbase which is 100mm larger. On the engine front, The latest generation of Twin Power Turbo Technology engines have been installed under the bonnet, with three units available from launch — the Cooper Clubman, Cooper D Clubman and Cooper S Clubman. CO2 emissions are as low as 109g/km, with fuel economy of up to 68.9mpg.
New to the brand is an 8-speed Steptronic transmission, available as an option on the Cooper S Clubman and the Cooper D Clubman. With production starting in Oxford later this year, Order books for the new Clubman are open at dealers nationwide this week. Pricing for the car starts at €29,560 OTR for the Cooper Clubman.
